This went from awful to great. Started out okay... I was really tired today. The goal was 10, which is really my daily milage goal (per the advice of Sasha to run 10 miles everyday with the long run being 20.) I was ready to call it 2-3 miles in. Just that point where the fibers in the legs are aching and you feel like you might collapse or fall asleep running. I just made it to the top of the first hill section and told myself I could finish. Made it to about mile 6 felt really good. I ran negative splits the last 4 miles and was really happy to be able to finish. These are the kind of runs that really aren't possible on a treadmill for me, its just too easy to quit on a treadmill so I treasure every single day I can go outside and run. |
