This race can be summed up in three letters. Meh. It was not my day, and this is due to a number of factors including my 50 miles this week before the race and bad shin splints during the race. My legs never felt good the entire race. My aerobic fitness was okay, but my legs felt bad out there. I ended up running a minute slower than I did last month. I wasn't devastated but based off my time I dont feel like I have the fitness to run a marathon in two weeks. I'm going to push it back and be 100% confident that I am ready. I am sure though on a good day I can run 1:24- 1:25. |
