The weather in Seattle finally came back with a vengeance. I suffered the worst shin splints of my life this morning pretty much right away. I had to call it in the morning and get in the rest of my milage at night. Sasha says its okay if you sometimes split up 10 mile aerobic building runs... so I don't feel too bad, STILL I don't run as fast on the treadmill and I kind of feel like its cheating even though I put it on 1% incline. AM: 2.75 7:40 pace PM: 7.25 8:10 pace shin splints: I should look into compression socks? dynamic stretching? I feel like its a combo of the 5 hour drive to Seattle and the milage of late. |
